Recognizing Our Star Triage Nurse

G and I talked about how much our pediatrician’s office and nurses have helped us in the past 6 months.  There have been tons of phone calls and referrals that they have had to field from us, and most have fallen on one particular triage nurse. She has been our shining light who has helped us find our way during this journey. Our gratitude could not ever be repaid to her and those around her.  But we wanted to try.

We went searching for the perfect way to thank them, but did not want to send flowers.  Finally, G and I remembered that we had an ‘Edible Arrangements’ close by.  These folks arrange fresh fruit into beautiful bouquets. It is quite the unique idea and the fruit they use is, umm, delicious…and nutritious.  They also offer to dip some of the fruit in chocolate for a bit more variety.  Even more delicious, but less nutritious.

We chose an arrangement, picked it up and hand delivered to our star nurse at the office.  She was surprised and grateful for our recognition. I made sure that she understood the gratitude our family felt and that this was only a small token of our appreciation.  Yet, I did make her promise to share with everyone else in the office.

I just ask that you remember that there are many people who help you along the way, and to please recognize them for their effort and time.
